- Previous Reading: is the prior month's current read.
- Present Reading: is the reading picked up on the service to date.
- CU FT Used: is the difference between the previous read and the present reading.
- Gallons Used: Number of gallons used in current month. If meter is in cubic feet (ccf), the reading is rounded to the nearest 100 ccf and then multiplied by 7.48 gallons to get the consumption. If the meter is in gallons, the reading is rounded to the nearest 1000 gallons and placed on the bill.
- BMWD Water Charge: A combination of the volumetric charge and the Capacity Reservation Fee (Cap Fee). The volumetric charge is broken into gallons used per tier and then added to the Cap Fee. See Rates/Fees page for detail charges.
- Water Supply Fee: (Formerly System Improvement Fee) pays for costs that BexarMet incurs for existing water supply agreements and for acquiring new alternative water resources that enable the District to further reduce its dependence on the Edwards Aquifer. Specifically, this fee funds various water development programs, including: Bexar Metropolitan Water Development Corporation - lease, Canyon Regional Water Authority Agreement, Bexar Medina Atascosa Counties Water Control and Improvement District (BMA) Water Purchase Agreement, Water Exploration Company (WECo) Water Purchase Agreement and other water supply agreements. This fee is charged at $1.84 per 1000 gallons. In this example: gallons X rate = charge.
- Edwards Aquifer Authority Fee: A pass-through fee that goes to pay for regulatory assessments charged to BexarMet by the Edwards Aquifer Authority and Trinity Glen Rose Groundwater Conservation District. This fee is charged at $0.15 per 1000 gallons used for all customer classes. In this example: gallons X rate = charge.
- TCEQ Surcharge: A pass-through fee that goes to pay for regulatory assessments charged to BexarMet by the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality (TCEQ). This fee is charged at 0.005 times the BMWD Water In this example: BMWD Water Charge X 0.005 = charge + $0.18
- NET Charge: This is the amount due on or before the due date on the bill (in this example, $36.00)
- GROSS Charge: This is the amount due once the due date has passed. It includes a penalty of 5% for going past the due date.
- Address: Represents physical location of meter.
- Update: Space provided to update phone number.
- Address: Customer's mailing address.
