Debra Eaton - Treasurer - District 7

Debra Eaton is a 28-year U.S. Army veteran. She served with the US Army Medical Command with in the United States and abroad. Ms. Eaton served her country in Hawaii, Germany, Honduras, Guatemala, El Salvador, Nicaragua, Bosnia, and Korea. She is currently attending Wayland Baptist University in San Antonio, Texas, to obtain a Bachelors degree in business administration.

Mrs. Eaton's work experience includes but is not limited to the following:

  • 1st Sergeant of a Preventive Medicine (PM) Detachment - Deployed to monitor the production of water for US and allied soldiers.
  • Supervised PM teams monitoring water for US soldiers in the field.
  • Supervised soldiers handling of gray water in the field and on post.

Her training experience includes but is not limited to the following:

  • Preventive Medicine Specialist
  • Basic Industrial Hygiene Techniques

Her leadership experience includes but is not limited to the following:

  • Primary Leadership Development Course (PLDC)
  • Basic Noncommissioned Officers Development Course (BNCOC)
  • Advanced Noncommissioned Officers Leadership Course (ANCOC)
  • Drill Sergeant School
  • Unit Discussion Leader Course
  • Equal Opportunity and Sexual Harassment Course
  • Consideration of Others Facilitator Course
  • Faculty Development Course (She was an instructor at the US Army Center and School, Fort Sam Houston, Texas and taught Preventive Medicine to over 2,000 soldiers. The main focus of her instruction was in water procurement, treatment, and distribution.)

Ms. Eaton was elected to the Board on May 12, 2007 as the District 7 Director and was sworn in on May 20, 2007.  She was elected to the position of Treasurer at the December 19, 2007 Board meeting.  She serves on the Board's Real Estate, Finance and Personnel committees.
