Switch and Save Toilet Programs

• Toilets can account for almost 30 percent of all indoor water use, more than any other fixture or appliance.
• Replacing older, larger-use toilets (3.5-7 gallons per flush) with newer models (1.6 gallons per flush or less) can result in significant savings.
• Check periodically to make sure the flush and fill components in the tank are working properly.
• Only homes constructed prior to 1992 are eligible for toilet rebates or free toilets.

PLEASE NOTE:  As of 12-29-2008, the supply of free toilets is exhausted.  All complete applications received on or after 12-29-2008 will be held on a waiting list until more toilets are available.  You are still encouraged to apply, regardless of toilet availability.
Please call customer service at (210) 922-1221 for an application to get one or two free toilets for your home or DOWNLOAD THE FREE TOILET APPLICATION BY CLICKING HERE.  Regular and handicapped toilets available while supplies last.  Handicapped toilet requests must be accompanied with a note of approval from a doctor.

Free toilets are white Caroma model 270 (handicapped) and 305 (regular) dual flush models and come with a wax ring and attachment bolts:  regular toilets are round front and the handicapped toilets are elongated and taller than regular toilets.
