Blanche Atkinson - Secretary - District 3

Blanche Atkinson is a 38-plus year resident in her neighborhood and is active in her community and family. She has worked hard to bring street and water/sewer infrastructure improvements to her neighborhood over the years. She is active in the elections of representatives for her community and works as a volunteer for local schools in her area.

She has worked with the Blue Santa program to provide Christmas presents to families who might not otherwise have presents during the holidays and has organized petition campaigns in her area to bring stop signs and street lights into her neighborhood. She strives to be a voice for her constituents and to be available to their needs and concerns.

Blanche is a proud mother of three daughters and has seven grandchildren. She was elected to the position of Director for District 3 on May 12, 2007 and was sworn in on May 20, 2007.  Ms. Atkinson was elected to the position of Secretary at the May 30, 2007 Board meeting and serves on the Board's Personnel committee.
