Current Restrictions: Year Around Guidelines
The first set of enforceable water conservation rules in BexarMet history was approved at the BexarMet Board of Directors' meeting on March 27, 2006 and went into effect May 1, 2006. These rules are required by the Edwards Aquifer Authority and help BexarMet encourage more water conservation in its service areas. These rules affect all BexarMet customers in Bexar, Atascosa, Comal and Medina counties and are very similar to the City of San Antonio Water Ordinance with overlap in some areas. BexarMet customers in the City of San Antonio may be ticketed by SAWS or BexarMet enforcement officers if water waste is observed and documented.
Because BexarMet serves 21 separate systems, water restrictions may vary, depending on conditions in the specific system. Please check the Advisories section for the restrictions or water updates in your area.
