Rain Sense Rebate

Install a rain sensor on your automatic sprinkler system* and receive a $25 rebate on your water bill! Rain sensors will shut off your sprinkler system if rain begins to fall while the system is running or if rain has fallen with in the past 24 to 48 hours.

• A rain sensor is required by BexarMet Water Conservation Rule 2006-001 to be installed on all automatic sprinkler systems after June 1, 2006. The homeowner is responsible for installing the rain sensor.
• Customers cannot receive the rebate for replacing an old/broken rain sensor with a new one.
• BexarMet must receive copy of receipt or paid invoice within 1 year of purchase for the rain sensor and construction date of sprinkler system to apply rebate.
• Under the new City of San Antonio Water Ordinance and the BexarMet Water Conservation Rules, an efficient sprinkler system is very important to preventing waste violations.

* This rebate applies to the purchase of rain sensors installed onto sprinkler systems that were installed prior to June 1, 2006.
